About this Southampton Project

Hampton Consulting was approached by a client who had purchased an obsolete pub at auction several years prior. The original tenants had struggled to make the business work, leaving the property in a deteriorating state, plagued by squatting and insurance challenges.

Recognising the potential for redevelopment, Hampton Consulting swiftly identified a shortlist of local Builder-Developers and negotiated a Joint Venture (JV) agreement. The site was successfully transformed into 12 family housing units, delivering a highly profitable outcome.

This project was a resounding success for our client, who only needed to provide the site while the construction costs and risks were managed by the JV partner. The affordable family homes were sold on a rolling basis as each unit was completed, ensuring strong commercial returns for both parties. Hampton Consulting acted as the Client Representative and Development Manager, overseeing the project from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results.
